About the game

The classic solitaire: move all 52 cards to the four foundations by suit, from Ace to King, building the columns down in alternating colors. Draw one or three cards, with unlimited undo and hints, records for time and score in each mode, drag or tap to move, and an automatic finish. Plays on computer and phone, right in the browser.

How to play Klondike Solitaire

1. Klondike is the classic computer solitaire, with a 52-card deck dealt into seven columns.
2. The goal is to move every card to the four piles at the top, one per suit, from Ace to King.
3. In the columns, build down in alternating colors: a 9 of hearts goes on a 10 of spades. An empty column only takes a King.
4. Turn up the hidden cards in the columns by clearing what sits on them, and tap the stock to turn new cards.
5. Choose to draw one or three cards from the stock at a time. Drawing three is harder.

Tips

• Favor moves that turn up a hidden card: that is what unlocks the table.
• Do not empty a column unless you have a King to put in it.
• A card sent to the top piles too early may be missed later in the columns. Low cards (Ace, 2, 3) carry no such risk.
• Tap a card to send it to the best place, and use unlimited undo and hints when you are stuck.
