About the game

Real pool in the browser: a 3D table with its own physics (spin, cushions and pockets) and an opponent that thinks before it shoots. Play 8-ball, solids against stripes with the 8 last, or Brazilian snooker, always hitting the lowest ball first for 1 to 7 points, against the CPU on three levels. Drag to aim and pull the power bar to shoot, on computer or phone.

How to play Pool

  1. Pick a mode: 8-ball or Brazilian snooker, against the computer on three levels (Easy, Medium and Hard).
  2. 8-ball: pot your group, solids (1 to 7) or stripes (9 to 15), and the 8 last. The table stays open until someone pots a ball after the break; that ball's type becomes their group. Potting the 8 early, or with a foul, loses the game.
  3. Brazilian snooker: 7 balls worth 1 to 7 points (red, yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black). The ball on is always the lowest number on the table, and the cue ball must hit it first. Most points wins.
  4. Pot a ball with a legal shot and you shoot again. On a foul (cue ball in a pocket, hitting nothing or hitting the wrong ball first), your opponent takes the turn with ball in hand.

Tips

  • Drag on the table to aim and pull the cue back for power: the further you pull, the harder the shot. The bar below does fine aiming.
  • The aim line shows where the cue ball and the object ball will go. Check it before you shoot.
  • Use spin: hit low and the cue ball comes back; high and it follows; on the sides it bends off the cushion. That is how you leave the next ball easy.
  • Not every shot has to pot a ball: when the pot is hard, leave the cue ball somewhere awkward for your opponent.

Frequently asked questions

Is this online pool game free?
Yes. Pool on Jogue.Games is free and runs right in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.
Can I play pool on my phone?
Yes. You aim by dragging your finger on the table and pull the cue back to shoot, just like on a computer.
What is the difference between 8-ball and Brazilian snooker?
In 8-ball each player has a group (solids or stripes) and must finish on the 8. In Brazilian snooker there are 7 balls worth 1 to 7 points, always played in order, and the highest score wins.
Can I play against another person?
For now you play against the computer, which has three levels: Easy misses now and then, and Hard clears the table if you let it.
